Missions

 MISSION MINDED METHODISTS

Mark your calendars to be a part of the next Mission Minded Methodist Project.  Workday is Saturday, April 6th!  Meet at the church in the Fellowship Hall at 8:00 a.m.  We are looking for volunteers to do yard work, carpentry work, and cook for the volunteers! UNITED METHODIST WOMEN AT FUMC

We at FUMC welcome all women to join in fellowship with us.  FUMC has three women’s circles to choose from. Whether you need to meet during the day or in the evenings, there’s a group to meet your needs:

Circle Number Five meets on the third Monday at 6:00 p.m. monthly from September through May in FUMC Family Life Center. Circle leader is Carol Efird.

Libby Annulis Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month from September through May at 6:30 p.m. in member’s homes. Circle leader is Trudy Jackson.

Wilma Hankins Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month all year in the Church Parlor at 2:30 p.m.  Circle leader is Sue Anderson.

All circles comprise the United Methodist Women’s Unit, which is a part of the Southeast District UMW, and Arkansas Conference UMW.  Scheduled times for general UMW meetings are announced when scheduled. UMW president is Margaret Norton, Secretary/Treasurer is Sue Anderson.

Call the church office (367-2471) for more information.  UMW members are also participants in and with Church Women United of Monticello.

UNITED METHODIST MEN AT FUMC

FUMC has an active group of United Methodist Men that meet monthly on second Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall for a meal and fellowship. United Methodist Men at FUMC are involved with many areas of our facilities as well as other projects as needed.  Contact church office for more information. Current president is Larry Fuller.

Missions Update:VIM (Volunteers In Mission) to Sager Brown  

The Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana is calling our name to the mission field! We have reserved the week of January 29th through February 3rd to serve. We want YOU to join us. Mark your calendars this year to join us for this special mission trip next year!

 Registration packets for volunteer are available in the church office. We will enjoy our week of mission work along with groups from Br. Ed Wyers’ church in Stuttgart and Br. David Hoffman’s church in Conway. For more information call the church office at 367-2471.
